Comincia a lavorare in una societa di Firenze che si chiamava "Pignone"
Poi passò allo statale nel Circolo delle Costruzioni Telegrafiche e Telefoniche e come direttore andò ad Asmara nel 1934 fino alla conquista di Adissabeba e divenne direttore di tutto il governo generale (come si chiamava il comparto africano).
Tornato in Italia entrò alla Timo e divenne Direttore Interinale a Bologna per tutta la guerra. Dopo divenne direttore ad Ancona per le Marche e l'Abruzzo, poi a Parma, poi a Bologna, poi a Torino, poi a Bologna, poi a Venezia come Direttore generale. In pensione andò a Bologna e infine a Parma nel 1991.
